Susanne Schwob (1888–1967)
From 1934 to 1938, the Bern artist Susanne Schwob was president of the Society of Swiss Women Painters, Sculptors and Craftswomen and, after Adèle Lilljeqvist, the second woman to become a member of the Federal Fine Art Commission. She embarked on numerous journeys, which also took her to Italy. In her watercolours, she captured the ambience of southern Europe.
