Casa Studio

This room includes sexually explicit works of art. We suggest that children and adolescents under age 16 view it accompanied by an authorised person.
In the early forties, Carol Rama moved into her studio flat in Turin. It became the lifelong center of her artistic work and a meeting place for intellectuals and creatives. Over the years she assembled her collection of non-European works of art, everyday objects and materials, photographs, presents as well as works of art from her friends and displayed them alongside her own works. Rama painted the walls completely black and grey because it helped her to paint from memory. Today, the Casa Studio still resembles an art installation. In keeping with such an approach, this room invites you to immerse yourself in the artist’s world.
