Black

The term ‘Black’ is often chosen as a self-definition by people with origins in Africa or the African diaspora, people with dark skin, and people of color. The capitalized ‘B’ is deliberately used to mark a socio-political positioning within a predominantly white social order and is considered a symbol of an emancipatory practice of resistance.
